STST Word Club | Maison Bertaux Soirées

On March 19th, Maison Bertaux Soirées crosses south of the river to join Staffordshire St's monthly Word Club for a night of indulgence and literary delights. Our theme for the night? Tart - sour, sweet and a little tongue in cheek. A perfect pairing for our historic Soho patisserie.

Come listen and discover how our talented selected writers, all previous readers at Maison Bertaux Soirées, have responded to the theme. Expect to find in their words the hard crunch of pastry and soft surrender creme patisserie, the bite of berries that ensnare in sweetness or strike in sourness. Or maybe something altogether more alluring.

If their words incite hunger, we promise to satisfy it. In keeping with our long history of serving gateaux to the people since 1871, we’ll be bringing a tart of our own. Stay for a slice. We promise it will be delicious.

So please, come take a seat with us in our transported little patisserie, and take pleasure in all things tart.

A hand is picking up a small delicate pastry with strawberries and whipped cream. It is on a platter full of other pastries with strawberries, berries and nuts on top.
