Staffordshire St are excited to present the velour-clad group exhibition Full To Bursting curated by Haydn Albrow and Flora Bradwell.
Encompassing sculpture, painting, sound and performance, this interdisciplinary show will bring together female and/or queer identifying artists to investigate the grotesque through the bodily, through language, and through an erotic lens.

Carnavalesque in its' fantastical exaggeration of contemporary contexts, the show's high-octane pitch reflects the excess of ramped up emotionality of living in a time of permacrisis.

Gut Feeling | workshop
An experimental textile zine making workshop encouraging conversation on the theme of desire, hosted by GUT FEELING and Ava Lewis. This workshop invites you to respond to the theme of desire through a relaxed experimental zine making session, incorporating textile and fabric scraps. In a collective making environment, we will reflect on the bodily through an erotic lens. An exploration of desire opens up questions on what we strive towards both on an individual and on a communal level.

Anatomy Orchestra | screening
Join us for live music responding directly to the work in Full to Bursting exhibition. Come on down to Staffordshire St for a live musical happening dabbling in the surreal. Anatomy Orchestra forms part of Full to Bursting’s public programme. The immersive exhibition indulges in the bizarre and unsettling.
Settle into the night as group of professional jazz musicians perform a direct, improvised piece of music inspired by artist and curator Haydn Albrow’s dream language.

Carnival Crafternoon | workshop
Free workshop exploring carnivals of the world through play. Making fabulous masks then spilling out onto the streets for a parade. Join artists Haydn Albrow and Flora Bradwell for an afternoon of carnival crafting.
Taking inspiration from carnivals around the world these free drop in sessions welcome makers of all ages and abilities. Using an array of vibrant found materials and fabrics we'll be making masks together: think feathers, glitter and boisterous colour. From crafting we move to celebration, spilling onto the streets to parade in our unique creations.
